Sahara’s Monster Story

“The sky’s the limit.”

“Then let me eat the sky!” The monster said licking his lips.

“You musn’t eat the sky!” Said the witch.

“It’s too big.  Besides what would take the sky’s place once you ate it?” Asked the witch.

“The star’s would take it’s place,” said the monster getting out of the tub.

“Ridiculous! You could never do it!” The witch scoffed.

“ Just wait, “ the monster said leaving with a backpack slung over his shoulder and a napkin tied around his neck.

“Silly beast! He’ll never be able to do it!” Said the witch. “Never!”

“I’m going to eat the sky, “ the monster said to a cat. “I’m going to eat the sky,” he said to a rooster. “I’m going to eat the sky!” he said to a little girl. 

“How interesting?” the girl replied. “Can I come?” she asked.

“Yes,” the monster said not even thinking twice about it.

“Mother, may I go watch the monster eat the sky?” the girl asked her mother sitting nearby. The girl’s mother  said yes.

“Alright, let’s go,” said the girl and they walked on.
